Légendes is Château Haut-Blanville's most decorated single-parcel red. Pure Syrah grown on clay-limestone at 250 metres altitude in the AOP Languedoc Grès de Montpellier, the 2018 aged 36 months in new oak barrels, producing a wine of considerable power and refinement. Jancis Robinson's critic Tamlyn Currin described the wine as showing chocolate, vanilla, mocha, charcoal, plum and violets, with remarkably fine tannins and surprising freshness on the finish. The estate was founded in 1997 by Bernard and Béatrice Nivollet and has received consistent international medal recognition across multiple vintages.
