Astralabe

Astralabe is Chêne Bleu's entry-level red from Les Dentelles de Montmirail, Southern Rhône, France. It is vibrant, approachable, and built from old-vine Grenache Noir (72%) and Syrah (28%). Vines are up to 60 years old, grown at 530m on clay and stony limestone, certified organic by Ecocert. Fresh red fruit, dried flowers, and gentle spice on the nose give way to a juicy, medium-bodied palate with soft tannins and an aromatic finish. Named after the real-life child of the medieval lovers Abélard and Héloïse, it captures the spirit of the estate in a more everyday register.
