The Auf der Henne single-vineyard Riesling is the prestige expression from Weingut Ingrid Groiss, harvested by hand in early November from 30-plus-year-old vines on white gravel soils in Breitenwaida, Lower Austria. Twelve hours of skin maceration and fermentation with vineyard yeasts in stainless steel are followed by ten months on full lees, producing a wine of real mineral complexity: white blossom honey, elegant citrus zest, white peach and herbal notes open to a juicy, balanced palate with apricot, saline grip and a long finish.
