CHÂTEAU HAUT-BLANVILLE - Poètes

Poètes is a rare single-varietal Mourvèdre from Château Haut-Blanville's Peyrals parcel, grown on pure limestone at 150 metres altitude in the AOP Languedoc Grès de Montpellier. This demanding grape is given time: the 2016 aged 36 months in neutral barrels, resulting in a wine of notable depth, with dark fruit, leather, dried herbs and the earthy intensity that defines great Mourvèdre. Founded in 1997 by Bernard and Béatrice Nivollet, Château Haut-Blanville selects each parcel individually in the tradition of Burgundy's clos system, applied to the sun-drenched south of France.
