Colterenzio Lagrein

Lagrein is one of Alto Adige's great indigenous red varieties, and Colterenzio's version is a textbook expression of the grape at its finest. The cooperative's 300 member-family vineyards in South Tyrol produce grapes of real character: deep garnet with violet highlights, violet, ripe plum, wild berries and a touch of cinnamon on the nose. Full-bodied with velvety tannins and a long, gently spiced finish. Excellent with braised meats, lamb, aged cheeses and hearty pasta dishes.
