Gaxen

Gaxen by Oxer Wines is a rare expression of 100% Maturana Tinta, sourced from century-old plots in Cárdenas and Elvillar at 580 to 600 metres in the Rioja Alta and Rioja Alavesa. Aged six months in large-format Austrian oak barrels, it delivers the lightness and precision of a great Atlantic red: fresh cherry and raspberry, delicate floral notes and fine-grained tannins. Think Burgundy in spirit, Rioja in soul. A superb companion to cured meats, roasted vegetables or a casual Basque pintxos spread.
