The Mantsch vineyard in the Alto Adige is one of Colterenzio's most treasured plots, and its Lagrein Riserva is proof of what this indigenous South Tyrol variety can achieve at its peak. Alluvial soils of gravel, clay and porphyry give body, depth and structure to a wine with a dark garnet colour and a nose of woodland berries, violets, cinnamon and dark chocolate. Aged in oak, it develops impressive complexity while keeping the grape's signature freshness intact. Pair with slow-braised beef, game, truffle pasta or aged hard cheeses.
