Monferrato Bianco Sej

The Sej is the singular white in the Frasca La Guaragna range and one of the most unusual bottles in the Briffa Wine Selections portfolio. An 85% Arneis and 15% Rhine Riesling blend from the Guaragna estate in Nizza Monferrato, the vineyard sits on a mineral-rich slope that channels frequent marine breezes. Winemaker Matteo Gerbi uses weekly bâtonnage from the end of fermentation through February to build texture, before ageing in stainless steel to retain freshness. The result is a Monferrato Bianco with floral Arneis aromas lifted by Riesling's citrus precision, and a palate that is both creamy and vivid. Pair with seafood, shellfish or soft cheeses.
