Monte Branco Trincadeira

A single-varietal exploration of Trincadeira from Adega Monte Branco in Estremoz, Alentejo, grown on schist soils at over 360 metres elevation. Hand-harvested and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel after two days of cold pre-fermentation maceration. Rated 18 points by Vinho Grandes Escolhas: deep and mineral, with earthy notes of dry grass, moss and wet stone, fresh and structured on the palate with present but polished tannins.
