Tasting Note:

18 pts Vinho Grandes Escolhas - Deep, with a slight earthy note, suggestions of dry grass and weeds, moss, wet stone mineral. It has enough structure, very fresh on the palate, present but smooth and polished tannins, light bitterness, a distinctive wine, with plenty of character, reminiscent of old Alentejo.

Climate: Continental Mediterranean. Warm and dry days with large daily temperature amplitude.

Soils: Schist

Grape Varieties: Trincadeira

Winemaking: Manual harvesting. Total destemming. Pre-fermentative cold maceration for 2 days. Fermentation in stainless steel vats with temperature control at 26/27ºC.
