O Luar Do Sil Godello Sobre Lias

A step up in texture and depth from the standard Godello, this O Luar do Sil comes from the La Mallada plot in Seadur, Valdeorras DO: a 3.4-hectare south-facing parcel on a hillside surrounded by native forest. 100% Godello, fermented at controlled temperature then aged for three months in stainless steel tanks on its fine lees with regular batonnage. The extended lees contact adds a creamy, almost waxy quality to the wine without losing Godello's defining freshness. Dried apricot, white blossom, ripe pear and subtle mineral smoke on the nose; a full, persistent palate with excellent acidity and a saline mineral close.
