O Luar do Sil Vides de Corgamo

A rare Galician white from O Luar do Sil, the white wine label of Pago de los Capellanes. Grown on fragmented slate on the north bank of the River Sil in Valdeorras DO at 350 metres altitude, this 100% Godello comes from vines between 30 and 50 years old. Only 3,144 bottles are made. Eight months on fine lees in a combination of stainless steel tank, French oak foudre and 500-litre acacia barrels builds remarkable texture and complexity. Dried apricot, yellow flowers and slate minerality on the nose; vibrant, long and precise on the palate. Ideal with grilled sea bass, octopus or aged goat’s cheese.
