The entry-level release from Pago de los Capellanes, and one of the most honest expressions of young Ribera del Duero available today. Made from 100% Tempranillo from estate vineyards at Pedrosa de Duero, where clay-calcareous soils and altitude give the fruit its characteristic freshness and density. After spontaneous fermentation, the wine spends five months in new 300-litre French oak barrels with medium toast before bottling unfiltered. The result is vivid and aromatic: dark cherry, blackberry and violet on the nose, with a round, lively palate, subtle vanilla from the oak, and a clean, persistent finish.
