Pago de los Capellanes Parcela El Nogal

A single-vineyard Ribera del Duero made only in exceptional vintages. El Nogal is a six-hectare plot of Tinto Fino vines planted on sandy-loam soils at 950 metres altitude in Pedrosa de Duero. The wine ages for 22 months in French oak barrels before spending a further year in bottle, developing the complexity and poise that sets it apart from any blended Reserva. The nose is perfumed and multilayered: dark cherry, violet, roasted hazelnut, cocoa and fine spice. On the palate, the fruit is pure and focused with polished, silky tannins and a finish that lingers well beyond the last sip. For slow-roasted lamb, venison or aged manchego.
