Presented in a 1.5-litre magnum format, this Pago de los Capellanes Ribera del Duero Reserva is built for the cellar and the table in equal measure. 100% Tinto Fino from the oldest parcels in the family estate at Pedrosa de Duero, some over 80 years old, grown on chalk, clay and gravel at altitude. The wine spends 14 months in 300-litre fine-grain French oak barrels before being bottled without filtration or clarification. Deep garnet in the glass, with ripe cherry, redcurrant and subtle smoke on the nose, and a palate of concentrated, well-integrated tannins and long finish.
