Ried Hasenhaide Rose

A delicate dry rosé from the Ried Hasenhaide vineyard in Breitenwaida, where Pinot Noir and Zweigelt grow on crushed rock and chalk soils that keep the wine fresh and mineral. Weingut Ingrid Groiss hand-harvests and macerates briefly on the skins before pressing and aging on full lees in stainless steel. The result is pale, precise and beautifully light: soft pink in the glass, with subtle red berry fruit, gentle lemon zest and a crisp, clean finish. Ingrid Groiss's farming-in-balance philosophy, symbolised by the hare on her labels, is felt in the wine's purity and restraint.
