Un Culin

José Antonio García and Julia Peña García (JAG Viticultor) are next-generation vignerons rooted in Bierzo, Spain, farming their family vineyards in Valtuille de Abajo with strict organic practices and native yeasts. Un Culin draws on 80 to 100-year-old bush vines across 80 organic plots at 500–650m, combining Mencía with a field blend of ancient white varieties. The grapes are partially whole-cluster fermented with indigenous yeast in stainless steel, then aged on fine lees for four months, building a wine of perfumed red fruit, silky tannins, and a savory mineral finish.
