Mamur by Oxer Wines
Mamur is the name that has been given to avoid confusion with Matalaz from Rioja, since they share the same label, although this one has horns to differentiate it at a glance.
Grape Varieties - 90% Tinta de Toro and 10% Malvasia
Vineyards - Old Vineyards in the Villabuena del Puente area on sandy soils with a large amount of quartz, very poor with very low yields per hectare.
Vinification - Fermentation with indigenous yeasts in 1,000L vats. Malolactic fermentation takes place in used 500L French oak barrels. Subsequent ageing for 7 months in 600L barrels of various uses.
